Humboldt Park
Humboldt Park is on the west side of Chicago. Borders are Bloomingdale Ave to the north, the Union Pacific railroad tracks to the south, the train tracks running between Kostner and Cicero to the west, and California Ave on the east. One of the main attractions of the neighborhood is the namesake park. Humboldt Park is a 207-acre (0.8 km 2 ) park with several field houses, a outdoor pool, lagoon and in the summer a small beach. Along the northern end of the neighborhood is the 606 bike/walking trail, an old train line that was converted to a 2.7 mile long elevated park spanning three Chicago neighborhoods. There is a cool restaurant and shopping section on the southern end at Augusta and California which is also adjacent to little Puerto Rico: the official Puerto Rican neighborhood of Chicago. This stretch of Division Ave has lots of Puerto Rician shops, restaurants and pride.
