Wicker Park
Wicker Park is a neighborhood on the northwest side of Chicago. West of the Kennedy Expressway, east of Humboldt Park, and south of the 606 elevated park. Wicker Park is known for its hipster culture, art community, nightlife, and food scene. It is home to many luxury boutique shops and several flagship retail stores. Within the 60622 zip code, Wicker Park is home to some of Chicago's most expensive real estate. Milwaukee Ave and the Blue Line El Train run through Wicker Park. There is a large namesake park in the center of the neighborhood. Wicker Park was an arts and music mecca in the 1990’s and to some extent still is. Liz Phair, singer-songwriter, penned her first album Exile in Guyville in Wicker Park.
